This splendid hotel is located in the heart of Interlaken, overlooking the huge village green Hoehematte. This is a truly remarkable property where guests can thoroughly indulge themselves. The hotel offers superb service and it is quite apparent why it has acquired such a reputation for excellence over the years. This grand building is very traditional in style and has been kept in excellent condition. The main, gourmet style restaurant is a beautifully decorated, with a high ceiling, marble pillars and chandeliers, all helping to create an extremely elegant setting. The hotel also has a more casual restaurant which serves a variety of Swiss specialities in charming rustic surroundings. The main restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The rooms vary from medium to large and are quite individual in design. The majority are quite traditional in style with high ceilings. All rooms have quality furnishings and are in exceptional condition as are the bathrooms. Deluxe rooms are even more opulent than the standard rooms. Most have mountain views, but some overlook Interlaken itself. The very large lobby is elegantly decorated in a striking style. 1 km to the nearest station (interlaken), 180 kms to the airport (zurich), 205 kms to the airport (geneve-cointrin).
