Barcelona is know for its highly developed cultural scene, including a lot of original architecture and design. This hotel, while conventional looking on the outside, is very modern in design and furnishings. While it might not be everyone's cup of tea, we found the rooms and public areas to be extraordinarily comfortable. Service was excellent, housekeeping was attentive, and the bathroom appointments were comfortable. The hotel is in a developing part of town a bit removed from the city center, but it is quick and easy to get around by metro (subway). The stop is just a block away, and is across from a large, multi-level shopping mall that would be at home in any American suburb. We found the mall was a terrific convenience for fast dining or incidental shopping (it has a large supermarket on the bottom floor) the streets in the area are well-lit and busy with pedestrians. I would recommend this hotel to business and tourist travelers, and I would be happy to stay there again.

What a nightmare this hotel is. My room was shabby, the noise level coming from the stag and hen nights that stay there over the weekend was terrible. I wasn't going to bed until after mid night but throughout the night you could hear everything going on in the bedrooms next to you. Everything!! Doors where constantly slamming killing any sleep you might have had that night. I was there two nights Friday and Sat and didn't sleep a wink. The staff are useless and literally don't give a monkeys. Its like one of those hotels you watch on programs on Benidorm. Being a Brit myself I now know why we have such a bad repututation abroad. Believe me I am no prud but this place is the pits unless you are on a stag or hen night and want to stay awake all night and cop off with the hen and stag nights in the room next to yours. Very poor.

After staying in an apartment hotel in a residential area for the previous 3 days, we found this hotel very clean, comfortable and away from the hustle of touristy Barcelona. We were very familiar with the metro had walked dozens of miles in the first week of our travels in Europe, the 10 minute walk to the 'speical bus' was nothing (the metro line nearest the hotel was closed for maintenance). We did however opt for a cab to the airport (* Euro incl. tip & bags). The beach was across the street. We had to eye down the youngster chatting for nearly an hour online at the 2 computer 'cyber-cafe' and I think we got to him after about 10 minutes. The room was very modern and clean. The hotel staff responded very quickly for requests for linens, towels and to supply a plug for the bathtub. Still don't know what to do with a bidet though... works well to wash beach sand off your feet I found out!! We will return to Barcelona one day and this hotel will certainly be on our preferred list.

The room is clean, tidy and spacious. It will be good if the hotel could privide smaller single room for single traveller. Breakfast is quite expensive. Location is good with easy access to metro.
