The W was a wonderful hotel. I would not reccomend for trips with children. Rooms were a bit small and not very well lit. Bed was very comfortable with wonderful soft pillows. It is very conveniently located in the heart of Times Square. The Blue Fin which is the adjoining restaurant has wonderful sushi, fresh and handmade. Would reccomend for couples especially the younger crowd.

We took our children (8 and 5) to the W Times Square for a night and a quick visit to New York. The girls LOVED the hotel. For a cool hotel, they were plenty enough family friendly, and we felt very welcome and comfortable. You cannot beat the location or the great atmosphere of the W Hotel entrance, lobby or rooms. Everyone working there was so pleasant and helpful. I would agree that if you don't know your roommate well, the brushed glass bathroom walls that allow for a shadow view of whatever you are doing in the bathroom could be uncomfortable. That is the ONLY downfall I have! Room size and layout is awesome. Great trip, great stay!

I needed a room to be the starting and ending point for a bachelorette party, and I could not have picked a better place. The rooms were classy, modernm and spacious, perfect for our small party to meet up in the beginning of the night, "pre-game", and for a bunch of us to crash after the festivities. Everything was comfortable, the bathrooms were exquisite, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the view. We stayed in a fantastic suite, which was advertised to be on one of the higher floors, but when we checked in, we were told our room was on a lower floor. The window overlooked the side street that the hotel entrance was on, was not facing Broadway directly, but it was still OK. Luckily, the rest of the room made up for it. The hotel bars were funky and awesome, especially The Living Room. The decor was fresh, clean, and ultra modern. I would definitely stay here again, and many of the girls said they would too. It was a great hotel experience.

The W continues to seperate themselves form other higher end hotels with their exemplary staff. From the moment we checked in everyone went out of their to make us feel welcomed, special, and genuinely interested in ensuring that we enjoyed ourselves. They offered great advice on transportation, entertainment, and dining. We have been to the W Times Square before, and will continue to make it our first choice when staying near Times Square.

This is a great place to stay if the focus of your trip is seeing Broadway shows. The room is comfortable, though they could use additional lighting. The staff was very friendly. The concierge helped us get a last minute Saturday night dinner reservation. We ate at Blue Fin on a previous trip and had a very good experience there.

Hotel have excellent location in the middle Times Square.Employees reception and service were very friendly and courteous.Room beautifull and big.We stayed three persons in the room.Best selection .I'm sure we will return.

Great location with cool and trendy decor. Bar staff was a bit unfriendly. Overall a very good experience. Perfect location within walking distance to Broadway theaters and Times Sq. attractions. Not the most affordable option for the NYC traveler, but the W came as advertise and didn't disappoint.

The location is awesome. Hotel staff was very friendly and willing to assist with needs. My only complaint would be the dim lighting which is signature to the "W" hotel. The location is awesome right in the center of Times Square. The hotel staff is most accommodating and friendly. My only complaint would be the dim lighting in the hallways of the hotel. I know this is signature for the "W", but we were a all ladies group & some didn't feel safe. Overall the hotel was great! I would definitely recommend it to others.

The atmosphere and location was great. Also, they had a wonderful concierge. The hotel did not have a pool. This hotel is situate in a wonderful location in Time Square. The front desk was helpful, quick and efficient. The concierge was friendly and informative. The valet parking and curb service was inviting and helpful. This rooms were a comfortable size with wonderful amenities. You will be very pleased with your stay here.

I stayed at the W in March of 2009. When we arrived at around 7 pm EST, the people outside were very helpful and carried our bags into the hotel. The check in people were also helpful and helped us find a delicious restaurant near by. We stayed on the 43rd floor. We had a great view and the room was very quiet. The W is an amazing hotel in the center of Manhattan!

I stayed at the W in Times Square over 4th of July weekend. We were able to view the amazing Macy's Fireworks from our hotel room. We were close to many subway stations, and in the heart of Times Square. Everything was in walking distance. The rooms had very comfortable beds and a very modern feel to them. Plenty of space considering we were in Manhattan. The rooms were very quiet. You could not hear people in the next rooms or in the hall. Everyone we encountered working for the hotel was extremely helpful, courteous, friendly, and went above and beyond their job descriptions. There is a beautiful lounge with great drinks and great service as well. We used the concierge daily and they were extremely knowledgable and helpful. They got us reservations at great restaurants, helped us get on the right subways, recommended entertainment, etc. I would stay at this hotel over and over again and plan to with each trip. Fantastic!

This was our first trip to New York. The hotel was immaculate! It was in the center of Times Square which is the best place to be for it all. Everything you need and everywhere you want to be is within walking distance. The staff were very helpful and also very nice. The atmosphere of this hotel is simply awesome. So beautiful, so pleasant and the hotel and every elevator smelled wonderful. My familiy and I really enjoyed staying there for 4 days. The gym is also fantastic, clean and they have the most up-to-date equipment. The rooms were very clean, spacious and very comfortable. This hotel is the perfect place for folks not familiar with New York City and who want to return to a comfortable resting place. I am so glad that this hotel in no way disappointed us. We are definitely returning to the W New York - Times Square.

I stayed at the W Hotel for my birthday and wanted to entertain my friends in a special hotel, not an ordinary one. The rooms were modern and clean, the staff was helpful and generous, and the nightlife in the hotel was convenient from late hours after we went out. The design of the hotel is beautiful with a trendy lobby, outdoor heated lamps by the enterance, and a waterfall ceiling. Overall we were extremely satisfied with our stay and it would be a pleasure to stay in W's around the U.S.

Very visually appealing - modern but still inviting. The glass-walled bathroom is a bit unnerving. The W Times Square made this middle-aged suburban mom feel cool, and the service is exceptional. Whatever, whenever!

Thanks to waiting until the last minute we got into this hotel for a great price and it is the place to be if you want to take in Manhattan. We had no less than five celebrity encounters in two and a half days, two in the hotel bar. The hotel is very cool, rooms were modern and clean and not too small for NY. The location right on Times Square was fantastic, with theatres, stores and plenty of good places to eat and drink.

There was hair and dust in shower and all over the floors, they forgot to clean our room one day and we had to call twice. And there was a bar manager that came up to my partner and myself after ordering a $20 dollar drink and said we would have to get up out of the lounge area unless we order from the lounge waitress and this happened after we waited 15 minutes for a waitress and no one came so we went up to the bar in the same lounge and ordered and sat dowm. He embarrassed my guest and my partner and i did report it with no response. Restaraunt was a good experience and I loved our view. Their key system was also down and they had to have somone go up when we arrived and we had to go to the desk several times to be escorted up because there system was down. i just think for the price that they should have better managers in place and cleaner rooms and hallways. people carried allot of paper etc into the halls after the Thanksgiving Day Parade and it stayed on the floor our whole visit:( very sad. Great concierges though and very helpful. maybe the rest of the staff could learn from them:)
