Nice single room, part of new accommodation block. Breakfast was great. Good buses into Dundee, but late return is on Ninewells Hospital route on a different road - only a 5 minute walk though.

Friendly staff - nice settingThis is not really a hotel as it is used as a conference centre and student accomodation at other times of the year. It would have been good to have had the opportunity to have lunch and I didn't like that the times to eat in the evening were changed without warning. However I did enjoy the stay- food was good - customer service was very good- I would stay again

We had a very enjoyable stay at West Park. Easy to find, plenty of free parking in own car park, about a mile from the city centre and very easy to either walk in to centre or get a bus to save looking for parking places. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms not huge but well laid out, modern and clean. Lovely breakfast in the old mansion house on the campus (very near to rooms). Evening meals are provided as long as they are ordered in the morning and apparently there is a bar in the evening, though we didn't try it (too busy out and about!) Lots to see and do in Dundee. We'll be back.

Finding the actual room was problematic, a mini map would help. The only minor gripe is that there was only scrambled egg at breakfast, I would have liked fried. That apart, very good in all respects. I would certainly book again...

Found the West Park Villas,(halls of residence) convenient for our needs at this time. The room however did not seem to have been cleaned to a high standard for guests. It looked as if the student who occupied the room had only recently left as food stains on walls and other little things. These should have been looked at, prior to making it available to paying guests. The staff were very helpful, friendly, the food was lovely and grounds would be perfect for sitting out on a nice day.

Rooms are in a block of flats and are very small and with an unstylish pine effect reminiscent of student accommodation. Shower drain is in the floor which makes whole room very wet and slippy. Didn't sleep much due to continuous noise from central heating system. Breakfast finished serving at 9am on a Sunday morning which is unacceptable and unusable. A bit of a distance from the city centre and local buses stop at 1930, which means taxis are required. In future, I would pay the extra £15+ for a central hotel since this went on taxis anyway.

Superannuated halls of residence but as a place to rest your head can't complain.

apart from a couple of hair grips on the floor the room was clean and functional.could have done with a bedside table and light switches closer to the beds, but i'm just splitting hairs now...service was ok, the girl behind the front desk was helpfull if not as enthusiastic in the morning than late the previous night when we arrived!

This 'hotel' is a student dormitory that is let out to guests in the summer. We had single rooms in a suite of student rooms. Each room was ensuite with an adequate single bed, dresser, armoire, and desk. If your purpose in coming was to watch TV in the room, you would be disappointed, as the TV was indeed small and only got the BBC channels. Because I am overweight (about 270 pounds), I was concerned about the review that criticized the size of the showers. In my room, however, the shower was plenty large - could have squeezed a couple of me in there. Anyone not able to fit in the shower would also have problems with airplane seats and maybe doorways. Service was very friendly but not always polished - the cleaner forgot to put soap in my room, for example. The breakfast was buffet style with a more than adequate choice - somewhat watery scrambled eggs, sausage, British style bacon, potato scones, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, toast, cereals, juices, milk, tea or coffee - and you could overeat to your heart's content. The bar/ restaurant was adequate if you didn't feel like going out,l but didn't have a lot of atmosphere. Choices were limited, but the prices were reasonable. Wifi was a problem - only available in the main building, not in the dorms themselves, and then at a cost of more than ten pounds a day. If I find myself needing to be in or near Dundee in the summertime and don't go back to this hotel, Wifi would be why. If you are a tourist looking for atmosphere, not a lot of that here, but it's a matter of blandness rather than anything off or offensive. For tourists, Dundee itself doesn't offer a lot worth seeing and is a pain to drive around because of poor signage and too many pedestrianized and one way streets, but if you have a car there is plenty of parking at the hotel, and Dundee is a convenient base if you want to spend a couple of days driving around Fife, seeing Perth and the glens north of Dundee. All in all, it was what it was - a modern, clean

Student accomadation, looks like it and smells like it looks as though someone threw up over the walls. Food was expensive overcooked and small portions, would need 3 or more courses.Rooms isolated from main area.

West Park is a student Halls of Residence. It provides good value for money. The location is about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Dundee. The surrounds are very good and quiet. Car parking is provided. There is a restaurant on campus. Its not 5 star accomodation but it is very good budget accomodation. I would certainly stay there again.

The first room we were given was awful. Small dingy and smelt awful. It reminded me of a student room at University but nowhere near as nice as mine.I immediiately rang reception and asked for my party to be moved to the newer block and in fairness, some rooms were found. The flats were ok but still not even travel lodge standard but for the price with breakfast included it wasnt too bad. Location is good for the city centre, and it is better than a hostel.

Very nice place to stay. We found it to be excellent value with a very good breakfast, quiet and in a nice part of the city. One minor comment, this being a residence, although a rather high end one, you have to pass through a number of keyed doors to get to your room which can a bit of hassle when burden down with luggage and a bit confusing until you figure out how the building is layed out with secured flats.
