Location, you are less than fifteen minutes from the metro. Price in the restaurant; but, with so many restaurants in the area. Great, but still flawed. I must have had a run of bad luck on bathrooms because the two hotels I stayed at on my business trip both had hairs in the tub. I found that a bit disgusting and disappointing.

Excellent location, very friendly and supportive staff, very clean room, quiet. Dining prices were very high, lounge area not open. Overall, my experience was a good one. The staff were very helpful, the location was excellent to my needs and close to the Metro. I found the price reasonable. Is not a true four star hotel compared to others I have stayed at.

Good, very clean, courteous staff. Nothing to eat late, no room service! What if my dinner was bad outside and planned for room service, even a burger.

I had a balcony overlooking the courtyard which I loved. I wish the room had two queen beds versus two double beds. This hotel was beautifully decorated with modern furnishings. The bathroom was large, with both a tub and shower. The beds were comfortable and the balcony, with two chairs, was wonderful for enjoying morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Starbucks in the room was an added treat. The location is convenient to the Foggy Bottom, Georgetown, and Dupont Circle (a 15 min. walk).

The staff was very helpful and nice, the beds were very comfortable. The room was small, the bathroom while clean lacked amenities for a four star. I would be real hesitate to stay at Westin again, the decor was a brown which made it kind of drab looking. Our window overlooked a roof top where people were working. You could hear fire engines all night. The room was a king but not very big, the bathroom lacked the amenities I am used to seeing at a four star hotel. And unless you ate at the hotel restaurant you had to go downtown to get to a restaurant which is not easy in Washington. The positives were the staff was amazingly nice and helpful, they did not nickel and dime you to death and very nice and comfortable beds. And a very important plus it was clean.

We stayed for a long weekend and were sorely disappointed. The Westin brand name leads me to believe this would be a good hotel. I wasn't impressed. They billed me three times for the same room (although they quickly fixed the problem once notified); the room was cramped and dingy and dated; the hotel restaurant was closed for renovation and the bar didn't open at the schedule time.

It's a beautiful hotel. It's undergoing some renovations in some places. This is my favorite hotel in DC. The rooms are well appointed, and the bed is The best I've ever slept in. As for location, it's a bit of a hassle getting to it from Downtown (not so bad via the Key Bridge in Virginia), but it's a prime spot, within walking distance to all the shops in Georgetown.

Size of room, cleanliness of room and bathroom, and overall amenities. Room service menu was not very extensive and not offered 24 hours per day. It was a good hotel, but I've stayed in better 4 star hotels. Hotel could use some minor renovations, and room service menu could be improved.

It was swanky! The lobby was beautiful and smelled great. The pool deck was not big enough for tanning. And too many kids! I was really impressed. I thought it was great. Thank you.

Great Location, Luxury Lines, great bathroom very quiet. Lobby under constructin, putting new chandelier up. Loved this hotel, very nice location, staff was helpful, within walking distance to Georgetown. Very luxurious linens and great bathroom, very quiet as well.

Towels from Pakastan in an American 4 star hotel. Outrageous! And it matters to me! Conciergerie sent us on a wild goose chase..2-3 different ones really had no clue to job requirements. Room had awful odor upon our arrival. Not "smoke" smell, smelled "old". Bed was ultra comfortable, bath was awsome. Restraunt- awful. Went down for late night snack and was ignored for over 20 minutes..no bartender, no waiter, just few patrons. Have to try somewhere else next visit. Sorry Westin!

Stayed here for 5 nights and couldn't have been happier! We had a room with 2 double beds - Wonderful beds!Down Comf. Lots of pillows! Sparkling white! The bathroom was spacious. Huge tub and the water filled the tub up faster than any tub I have ever been in. Shower was wonderful, had a double shower head. It was hard to decide which one to use, so took a bath at night and showered in morning. The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. Always answered our questions politely and always willing to help. Big bowl of green pears and apples always on counter in lobby. We enjoyed the pears, made for a nice snack. We didn't touch the electronic snack bar or mini bar. Pretty high priced. I think you have 15 seconds to hold the item you are considering, so make sure you get it back if you don't want to be charged. We requested a mini fridge when we checked in and they sent one right up at no charge. We stocked it with sodas and water we bought from the CVS around corner. Nice size (42 inch?) television. Would have been nice if there were movie channels and more stations included in the price of the room. Halls were very quiet, never heard anyone. Elevators (there are 3) were VERY fast when you needed one. We ate breakfast in the hotel twice. It was good, but expensive! We walked to Corner Bakery and had a really nice breakfast for $12.00. Hotel is close to Georgetown. Great place for shopping and eating. Took a cab or walked to do all our sightseeing. Not too far from metro. A couple of blocks. Great place, would definitely recommend. I'm ready to go back soon!

The only thing "Westin" about the hotel was the bed and the Concierge. Decor, carpet, rooms, layout, everything was below standard. Though they are doing badly needed renovations, I would still pass. Rooms are small and most have no views. If you are a Westin girl like me there are 4 others in the area to choose from - DON'T stay here.

We have stayed at many Westins, we actually prefer them over other chains. This Westin, however, is not your usual Westin. The hotel rooms are old and outdated, not at all luxurious or inviting. They are tiny, but then again, this is DC. Staff are rather put-offish. Again, this seems common in DC. The best thing about this hotel is the great Westin beds. Lots of pillows, fluffy duvet, true Westin Heavenly beds. Next trip, however, I will be sure to pay more attention to the reviews rather than relying on brand name. The fact that so many people had negative things to say should have tipped me off.

Employees seemed nice. Room was not very well appointed. Just didn't seem like a 4 star hotel. They are doing major renovations, but services were lacking also. No valet parking, parking garage was closed on several levels, no elevator was available. Room had mis matched furniture.

I loved the TV, the big heavenly bed, the luxurious tub and shower stall. I thought staff was very helpful and polite. I also enjoyed taking the Circulator bus, which was right around the corner, to get to various destinations.

Location, clean, pretty views, nice bathroom, quiet, excellent pillows and clean bedding topper in white. No complaints. I liked the white bedding because I could tell that the topper had not been used by the previous guests. The room was quiet with excellent views out of 4 large full length windows. The menu was overpriced so we ordered domino's delivery. The location was excellent, close to Georgetown without getting into traffic. The staff was friendly, professional but not snooty.

Staff was very helpful and attentive. If I had to pick something, it would be location. The staff at this hotel was the best! Very attentive, helpful and always courteous. The rooms were very nice and the bathroom was spacious. The hotel was being renovated, so the pool wasn't open, but other than that you would never know that renovations were going on. The fitness center was adequate, if a bit on the warm side.

Accommodated early check-in and a king sized bed. Clean, nice rooms with large bathroom, which included a tub and a shower. Hotel accommodated an early check-in, a king sized bed, and the entire hotel is non-smoking, which is a huge plus. Great stay overall!

This hotel is not like the other Westin's I have stayed at. My first room was dark and run-down, so I asked to move, which they were very nice in doing. However, it is important to know this hotel is a little run-down. Carpet it torn, towels worn and the bed is far from heavenly. Sheets were nice and clean, but the mattress was not comfortable.

I was quite satisfied with my stay at the Westin Grand in DC. The check in process was a breeze and the lobby was beautiful. The room was extremely comfortable, especially since they had the heavenly bed. The also had a large flat screen LG TV. The bathroom was incredibly spacious with a tub and stand up shower. They almost could have used some of the space from the bathroom for the room. My main problem was that a couple of the light fixtures did not work. The location was perfect; it is walking distance to Georgetown and Dupont Circle which has great shopping, dining, and other entertainment options.

Clean. No free internet access. Hotel was clean with modern amenities but updating work which had clearly recently been done was shoddy, especially in the bathroom with regards to the lighting.

Excellent location, clean rooms, responsive staff. Lack of an fan exhaust in bathroom created musty smell. Bathroom was excellent with new, separate all-glass shower stall, bath tub and toilet with wide single sink counter. However, there is no bathroom window or fan exhaust and we believe the lingering moisture caused a musty smell to accumulate in the main room. Whatever the cause, the hotel was first rate in providing us an ozonator to eliminate the smell. Location is excellent with Metro two blocks, car rental one block, Trader Joe's one block away and express laundry/dry cleaning across the street.
