Location. Construction all around (but not their fault). This is a huge business hotel in Downtown Atlanta. The rooms and public spaces are perfectly nice, but there is nothing special or intimate about them. It is in a great location if you are doing business in Downtown Atlanta and is a short subway ride from the airport. Since the hotel often hosts conferences and conventions, the coffee shops, etc. can be very crowded.

Friendly staff. Nasty, moldy, dirty, old, stench, parking cost too much. I will never stay at this hotel again, nor will I refer any friends or relatives. The sheets and pillow cases were stained; bed skirt was very dirty, mold in the window seals and bathroom floor, stained furniture, very dirty carpet. The corners had spider webs in them. The ice machine spit out black stuff (mold) in the ice. In-room coffee pot was dirty. Parking was crazy expensive. This hotel is in a great location, but it is not worth. Years ago, this hotel was very upscale.

Great price and great view. We were on the 56 floor overlooking the Atlanta Olympic village. I have nothing negative to say. Great hotel, great location. Really great price!

"The room has a great view, but the room is a little small. It was three females and we were on top each other, it wasn't enough room to move. The beds were die for, so comfortable, that was best thing about the rooms. The service was great and very quick. Would stay there again."

The cleanliness and attractiveness of the rooms. The price of parking is too high and the price of the internet access. The hotel is extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly; the price of parking and the internet access is a bit pricey.

The location was excellent. MARTA and a decent number of restaurants are nearby. The room needs some renovation, TV is very old and carpet is stained in places. Bathroom is tiny. Overall this hotel met my expectations for a four star hotel, but it did not meet my expectations in some areas. Traditionally the reason I prefer four and five star hotels is because I desire a larger bathroom. You could barely turn around in this bathroom, let alone share it with your spouse. In addition, the amenities within the room were sparse. It had a very uncomfortable couch, a wooden again uncomfortable desk chair and an oddly placed TV that in addition to being out in the open was at least 5 to 8 years old. At the same time, the hotel staff was excellent and accommodating.

Toilet overflowed. Overcharged for EVERYTHING! $* for glass of milk Breakfast room service was $* for fruit and toast. Room was extremely small and very worn. Shower was cold ALL the time. Will never ever stay again. Worst hotel I have stayed at a long time.

Outstanding views of Downtown Atlanta! Room very dated with well worn furniture. The hotel was recovering from a recent tornado. Several streets were blocked off which made getting into the hotel very challenging. Huge chucks of glass were being thrown from the upper floors hitting the windows on the way down causing loud bangs to the glass. I thought the glass was going to break every time it was hit. Very disconcerting. But, late in the evening when the construction finally stopped the amazing views made up for it.

The view from the hotel room was excellent. The decor was outdated. The view of the city from the room was second to none. My family and I found ourselves constantly gazing outside and following the life of the city below.

Great view and location. I needed help and the staff was very unhelpful until I spoke with a helpful manager. Nice views, comfortable beds, great location but the staff wasn't as helpful as I expected them to be.

Great view. No good restaurants within walking distance. The restaurant in the hotel is not very good (we have eaten there in the past). The lobby and public spaces are very attractive and clean. The hotel staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant (Sundail) in the hotel has a wonderful view but only mediocre food for the price. All guest rooms have great views of the city. The hallways were very loud at night outside of the guestrooms.

I stayed here for the mart and I never will again. The rate for this event was outrageous for what we got. Smelly rooms and rude staff. I have expressed my displeasure to the AmericasMart management and am encouraging them to not use this hotel for their events in the future,

I like the atmosphere of the hotel upbeat and contemporize. Service is excellent and the views from the room are extraordinary. This is the most worn and dirty looking Western I have ever stayed at. Beat up furniture and messy lobby bathrooms. High rise hotel with fabulous views of downtown Atlanta. Great valet service. Lovely personnel service from the desk staff. Rooms need an overhaul, beat-up and dented furniture make this otherwise 5 star hotel into the motel 8.

"I have stayed here a numerous amount of times! I love this hotel, every time I think of a weekend getaway I think of ATL!! parking is good -(valet or park yourself under the hotel) The rooms are very comfy & clean. Once, the air was broken but it only lasted for about 1 hour! Great service. Right across from hard rock, great area if u r going to an event a hifi's, cnn, aquarium, coca cola fact. or phillips arena. I love taking a trip on the marta ($3 bucks round trip) to Lennox Square Mall! The view is incredible(ceiling to floor windows) This hotel is Perfect for a stay in the big ATL!!!! "

All areas of service, cleanliness and convenience were at the top. Our room was comfortable, clean and big enough. Check in and out was swift and easy. My only problem was the cost and variety of food choices. After our $19.00 each breakfast buffet we decided to eat elsewhere. The location was perfect for our needs.

It was convenient to the Philips Arena. Nasty linens left in hallway from another room. No hot water Sunday AM. The hotel staff were friendly. The hotel was ok.

The stay was excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms need to be bigger. The Hotel needs to have better parking situations. There needs to be a manager special for people staying. But overall I will stay again, but not for a friends getaway. The hotel needs to be upgraded with todays technology.

We found half eaten food in the top dresser drawer on arrival. Check in was very slow and I was the only customer. Also, strange wind sounds that kept me up all night most nights. Sounded like a train coming through constantly.

Starting off...I LOVE the Westin/W chain and usually seek them out when traveling. I particularly like the Heavenly Bed! Stayed at the Peachtree Plaza for July 4th. Front desk staff were VERY curt and dismissive. Room was very musty, carpets were stained and worn out, couch in room was threadbare and stained. Bathroom didn't have a shower carpet and some normal things you might find in a room (shampoo, shower cap, etc) were also missing. Much touted Heavenly Bed seemed to be some linens from that line over an old bed...very uncomfortable! Had dinner at the Sundial (at the top of the hotel). Views were magnificent...dinner was horrible. I have read some not-so-good reviews of the restaurant, but decided to try it as it was an abbreiviated prix fixe menu. Appetizer tasted as if someone had dumped an entire carton of salt in it and was inedible. Steak was mediocre. Date had pork dish which was burned and dried out...looked like it came from the nearby Bodies exhibit. Dessert was okay, but it was just shortbread, whipped cream, and berries. On a positive note, the lobby lounge staff were all very friendly and attentive. This was unlike any stay at a Westin I've ever had. Not sure if they are resting on the fact that they are an Atlanta landmark and people WILL come to stay, but they have some SERIOUS work/cleaning/updating/retraining to do in order to be on par with other properties in this group. I would avoid this one, and stay at any one of several newer hotels that are now surrounding Centennial Olympic Park area...at least until they decide to become a serious contender again.

The rooms were great. Awesome view! We were on the 61st floor. The only bad thing is the outside elevator was damaged last year in a tornado. The elevator does run to the top, 72nd floor but you can't see outside.

Courteous and prompt room service. Long line at checkout. My wife and I stayed at the Westin Peachtree the weekend after the hotel was damaged by a tornado. The hotel was undergoing repair, which led to two inconveniences. First, an elevator was out-of service, leading to a long wait in the lobby. Second, repair work was being done in the early morning hours (before 6 am). Our only other complaint was that the registration desk was not fully staffed at checkout. We stood in line for more than 20 minutes. However, I am willing to attribute these problems to the storm damage.

Heating system is dilapidated and the carpet was disgusting. I was in a room that the heating system stopped working at 1:00am and they sent in a technician who came and worked on it and could not get it to heat the room. The next day it still was not working and nobody came to repair it and when I returned to the room that night it was ice cold in the room. They sent in the same technician who was not able to repair the heating system and requested I be moved to another room at 1:30am. This room carpet was disgusting and the beds were horrible and appeared to be very low to the floor.

This hotel has probably served a vey useful purpose, but has evolved to a very tired property that must be a training ground for future managers. There is a lack of spark and the employees do not seem motivated at all. The restaurant and bar are dead or closed at night and the room service is abysmal. From stained furniture to cracked sinks, stopped drains and paper thin walls, this Hotel is completely lacking any sustaining features and will need a complete overhaul.

Excellent fitness area and great location. The sofa in the room was small and not conducive to sleeping on. Overall a very nice hotel with great views of Atlanta. Valet staff was helpful. Great fitness area for those who like to get a workout in. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants. Nice bar in the hotel.

Great location. Price of drinks in bar very expensive. No indoor or heated pool. Our group was actually moved to the Hyatt Regency Downtown Atlanta due to the storm damage the Westin Peachtree Plaza suffered. We were disappointed that we were not going to get to stay at the "glass palace" as my daughter described it but we still had a nice overall experience. The kids were looking forward to being able to swim but did not get to do that since the Hyatt does not have an indoor or heated pool.

This used to be one of the nice hotels of Atlanta. Although the General Manager worked to make things better and right. It just did not completely overcome the poor treatment and the awful room I was placed in at first. Then the night manager named Asa, was really rude and awful.

Convenience & location. The atmosphere was great. We were going to a conference at the Philips Arena, the Peachtree Plaza location was within perfect walking distance. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating to our specific needs. Would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.
