The Whitelaw Hotel & Lounge is a shining Pearl in the South Beach area. Conveniently located right in Miami Beach's Art Deco district. The slogan reads - Clean sheets, hot water, stiff drinks. The clean sheets are Belgian, the hot water falls onto marble, and the stiff drinks - well, do they have to explain that? Rooms feature Bathrobes, Daily Housekeeping, Air Conditioning, Cable/satellite TV with remote control, Electronic locks, Hair dryer, In-room safe, Iron and ironing board, Mini Bar, Thermostat (adjustable), Mini Bar, CD player. This is a place where style doesn't translate into dollars. The Whitelaw is flooded by hipsters from around the globe who need not spend thousands in labels and still look Cool and Stylish. The hotel as its recurring guest has a distinct personality a fierce sense of humor and some ATTITUDE - After all, what else can you expect from a place with a slogan like - clean sheets, hot water, stiff drink. After a late night out or a long day at the beach it feels like heaven to take a hot shower in the glass and limestone bathroom, slip into a waffle-weave spa robe and dive into your big, fluffy bed dressed in Belgian sheets. It is near to the beach and that's it. Unfriendly staffs, decoration, bugs and parking. If you are not on the beach or party all day and stay in the hotel for more than 6 hours, this hotel is not for you.

There are plenty of hotals in MIAMI for the same price but better service. My toilet was clogged i called to get it fixed they told me to come down stairs to get a plunger. there were little bugs flying in my room and the hallways.The drinks at Happy hour taste like juice & water. The one good thing i could say about the hotal is that it is in a very good location. I would never recommened someone to stay at this hotal.

this is a really nice hotel and the locations is also great and its really close to the beach and the people are amazing but when i asked for towels they only gave us 1 per person, with one face towel! but other than that this is a VERY nice hotel for the money and the location I would go back but ill bring my own towels.

This hotel was relatively affordable and now I know why. It is great if you are 21 and looking for a party. Anyone else should stay somewhere else. The decor is tacky and the service is poor. The rooms are basic, with tvs that don't work, shotty air conditioning, limited hot water, and linoleum floors. Calls to front desk to fix tv appeared to be ignored.

The happy hour was a joke - full of people who were not guests, with an expectation that a guest is supposed to shove, push and yell in order to get a drink. We gave up after first day and went elsewhere for a drink.

There are a lot of hotels around South Beach that looked a lot better and were around the same price - wouldn't recommend the Whitelaw.

Me and my friends went to miami for the carnival. And right from the check-in we experienced problems with the staff when they couldnt find our reservation since they booked it at a sister hotel and didnt let us know, it took us 2hrs to finally check-in. There were ants in our room, the shower had no pressure and instead dripped. We didnt have light in our room for the three out of the four nights of our stay, the staff was very rude and unorganized when we alerted them of the problems in our room. WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN, but very good location.

This hotel is funky & clean - the location is fantastic - close to the beach & lots of places to eat & drink. The room was very pink but nicely designed, clean & comfy. The front desk at first seemed very uninterested in helping us & absolutely no early check-in however when we came back & actually checked in, they were nice. Valet parking was $* but the public garage (walking distance) is $* per 12 hours so ends up cheaper. The happy hour which was included in the room rate was pretty fun - the bartenders are pretty quick & witty and all seemed to have a good time.

The decor was Victorian but with modern amenities. Strategically situated in the art decor area of Miami beach, lot to do, shopping, going to beach, restaurants. A little lively at night, can be a noisy area, but the room I was in was quiet.The people working there were very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a good hotel experience.

I enjoyed the fun atmosphere of the hotel bar. The rugs in the hallway were dirty and worn. I enjoyed the stay, but didn't enjoy the dirty hallways and small rooms.
