At first, I called one week in advance and was told I'd get one roll away Queen bed and one King...instead of two separate beds (as in the confirmation). Upon arrival I was told I wasn't in the system (even though I called the night before saying we'd be one day late. Was quite exasperated after going to lunch and returning to find another person not having the paper work ready to find our room. Was then assisted by the manager, given two water bottles and a lugggage carrier, and was given a very nice room.

Great new property, location is very convenient to alot of North Metro Charleston Area. I had to make sales calls in all the above mentioned areas and could get to them all in minutes. Hotel is located on Charleston Southern Campus, actually on the Campus. Very safe secure feeling which is great for North Charleston Business Travel. Near Atlanta Bread, Zaxbys, Arbys, and BREWSTERS ICE CREAM !!!. And then you can jog it off around the Campus !!

Clean, well maintained, quiet location, great bed and linens, dual elevators, respectable breakfast spread, Super front desk and staff. First time for me traveling without my lap top, I relied on the single house computer and had to frequently wait for a turn, pool seemed plain and was not fancy - just adequate. Cell phone reception was spotty which I understand is pretty well standard in greater Charleston. If I had the ear of the Manager I would suggest a stand up Internet computer or two with a 5 minute limit while limiting the business center to adults. I would also suggest turning down the dingers on the elevators, I was grateful my room was down the hall.

This hotel is very worth the price. It is new, very clean, and updated. The breakfast is great in the morning. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a very convenient location, yet quiet. Nice pool and business center. I would definitely stay here or at other Wingate's.

Discovered the Wingate name by accident in Virgina in 2008, after another well-known chain allegedly couldn't find our reservation at 2:00 a.m. in the morning. The friendlieness of the Wingate desk attendant, the newness of the facility, the gorgeous appointments to the large room, the easy access from I-95 and did I mention the free breakfast? Needless to say, we slept well, were allowed a late check out beacuse of our late arrival got up, had breakfast, lazed around and checked out in a very relaxed and rested fashion. The Wingate philosophy is to fully service the needs of the traveler and they really hit the ball out of the park on all creature comforts. The price point is very reasonable for the facilities and their amenities. Since we found the Wingate name, we seek them out whenever we travel. At Thanksgiving last year we were invited to a family gathering in the Washington, D,C, Area, My picky-picky wife reserved a stay at the Wingate near the BWI Airport. Again, the Wingate was newly constructed, same friendly front desk staff and goegeous, large, room setup. Oh did I mention the free breakfast? Seriously, I am easy to please. My wife, on the other hand, is difficult to please/satisfy, so when she decided that the Wingate name is now our pick for our road trips, I totally understood that the Wingate people are trying to move away from the world of uncertainty in travel lodgins. I've said it all, no more to say After three consistently great stays with Wingate and my wife singing their praises, we will go for the consistent, safe, high-level stay with Wingate and take all of the uncertainty out of booking our hotels stays after a long and grueling drive.

I was in the area for my son's graduation from the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Goose Creek. It was not too far from the Naval base, and was beautiful and quiet. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast offered plenty! I would recommend.
