The lobby environs and employees were above par. Appreciated the business center. Parking is $16/day so you have to factor that in. The heating unit was also noisy. The location was perfect for a trip to the Southside works and Phipps, but there was evidence that someone had been in our room- on one of the beds watching TV- prior to our check-in. We didn't mention it until the next day and they made it up to us by taking off the parking charge. We were pretty impressed by that.

The staff was extremely helpful and polite. No free breakfast. The room was very comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful. The location was great for going out to eat, but could have been closer to other shopping/entertainment. I would definitely stay there again.

Maids do not knock, no soap or other bathroom supply. I was awakened by the maid opening my door at 8 AM without knocking. I was checking out that day. No soap, shampoo or regular coffee in the room. Bathtub faucet dripped constantly. I found out that internet access is available in the room but $10 fee per day, WiFi is only free in lobby.

Excellent rooms, good decor, comfortable beds, quiet atmosphere, good dining facility. Pay for parking. Great place to stay. Very close to University of Pittsburgh and about a mile or so from downtown Pittsburgh. Excellent place to spend a night if you are visiting.

Front desk staff was very helpful with tracking down an item I had left in my room. Bathrooms could use an update. Very good hotel for business travelers. The beds were extremely comfortable. The business center with free printing was exactly what I needed.

The entire staff (from the front desk to the bartender to the shuttle drivers were outstanding). The rooms were clean and just okay. The area around the hotel was at best average. One huge negative was the transportation services. The hotel shuttle system is not very timely. The drivers on the other hand were fantastic. I was over an hour late to my destination because of delays. In addition, the taxis in the city are not very good. Unless you are going to the airport, you might as well walk.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past 6 weeks. We have stayed at other hotels in this area but the Wyndham represents the best value The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The restaurant and bar are on par w/ other hotels in the area. It is within walking distance of the U of Pittsburgh.

The hotel was okay. Things could have been spruced up a bit, like the holes in the shower curtain. I would think for $* a night they could do something like that. The breakfast buffett was pricey but good and it would have been nice to know that the valet parking was not included either.

I usually stay somewhere else, but this hotel was closer to my son's campus apartment. when I booked for August 25-28, 2009 I was not told that they were remodeling. I was woken up up daily about six am from the workers and after falling back asleep was awaken about 9 am from the maid wanting to clean my room(there was a do not disturb sign on the door), when I came back to my room about 3 pm my room was still not made and called down to the front desk to ask that it be clean. when i came back about 8pm there was a stack of towels and a bag with shampoo on my unmade bed and the room was not cleaned.

Lamps in room were odd. The hotel has a reasonable overnight parking charge of $17 (as opposed to charge last time I stayed in Boston of $35), with a convenient valet service. All staff, from room service to front desk to shuttle drivers and valet attendants was courteous and professional. The rooms are nicely updated, though the lamps took some getting used to. We assumed they efficient/green lamps, though saw no explanation; they started out dim, and then became brighter. Bed was comfortable and room was clean and quiet.

Location was perfect. Price was perfect. Bathrooms were a little nasty. The hotel was perfectly located. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice, but the bathrooms could use a good scrubbing. For the price, it was a great place to stay.

Breakfast buffet was amazing! Hotel room was not clean! This hotel is conveniently located to the city of Pittsburgh. They are redoing the hotel, so some of the furnishings were old. Valet parking was required and our room was not very clean. Glasses dirty and lotion used.

Location. Valet parking is required and adds $16/day to overall price. Good location. Easy access to downtown/UPMC campus. Restaurants/shops within walking distance. Valet parking is required and adds to overall cost of stay. The wait for our car each day was also longer than expected. Building is old but seems to be in fairly good condition. Housekeeping was less than optimal -- dirty washcloth on floor in bathroom when we checked in -- but the staff was friendly. Bed was comfortable w/nice down duvet. Business center is basically 2 computers in a closet-sized room with one printer (which was out of service during our stay). Bar is nothing special but has a big-screen TV.

Location. Dingy, refused to provide by request amenities. The Windham Oakland sorely needs to be refreshed. The room was dingy - carpets and wall paper were stained, the air conditioner was partially disassembled and badly scratched, the security lock on the door did not operate properly. The hotel does not provide complimentary in. (There is free wireless internet on the mezzanine and in the lobby and business center). The parking garage attendant and check-in clerk were rude but all other hotel personnel were very nice. The hotel is conveniently located for the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and the Carnegie Art and Natural History Museums. Except for location, I do not recommend this hotel.

Valet parking. Dirty bathroom, small rooms, 2 star hotel. The first room had a leaking AC unit. The second room was still dirty, with dried up bacon chunks on the floor, hair in the bath tub, and dirty cups. 2 star hotel at most, not 3 star. Holiday Inn down the street was nicer than this ghetto fabulous hotel.

The location was great, the room was very nice and clean, and the staff was helpful, especially the parking attendant. The small space provided for turning into the parking garage. Beautiful from the moment you walk through the doors. Very tastefully decorated lobby. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was exceptionally neat and clean. Plenty of pillows is always a plus.
