Harrah's offers the prime Nevada nightlife, along with seemingly endless stretches of pristine, rugged wilderness right outside the door. The high-class service and glamorous nightlife options offered by Harrah's have been recognized by various travel organizations, making this one of the most acclaimed resorts in Lake Tahoe. The earthen colored exterior blends with the Sierra Nevada Mountains that encircle the lake. This complex is composed of a dome-covered swimming pool, two spas, tanning beds, and locker-room facilities. There is also an outside bar and sunbathing area, which is open in the summer. The Summit, voted one of the top 10 restaurants in America, is located on the 16th floor and boasts views of the lake and the mountains, as does Friday's Station Steak and Seafood Grill on the 18th floor. The Forest Buffet is famous for daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets, as well as the special Friday-night Seafood Buffet, Saturday-night Grill Night, and Sunday Champagne Brunch. In addition, guests can enjoy bakery items and espresso drinks at Club Cappuccino, Italian subs at North Beach Deli, pasta and pizza at Cafe Andreotti, Chinese cuisine at Asia, and casual dining and snacks at Sierra Restaurant. Just off the hotel's lobby is the South Shore Galleria, where you can browse and shop for gifts and necessities. Each of the 525 rooms has cable TV with Nintendo and Pay-Per-View, Web TV, dataport, internet service for a fee, coffeemaker, bedside reading lights, soundproofed walls, blackout draperies, bay windows for views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra, and 24-hour room service. Several hotel floors are for non-smoking guests. Please note that pets but must be kept in a kennel. Guests have 24-hour access to the kennels and are responsible for the care of their own pet(s). It's recommended that pet owners bring a blanket for animal bedding. Large kennels (up to 100lbs) are 10 per day and small kennels (up to 25lbs) are 8 per day.
